- NekoCAD LLC, a United States company, sells you a license to software you download.
- Nothing ships. There is no physical product, no shipping cost, and nothing to return.
- Prices are in US dollars. Stripe collects any sales tax or VAT at the checkout.
- Nothing renews by itself unless you pick the auto-renew price and say so.
- If NekoCAD ever stops, you get a final version that needs no license check, forever.
- You must be 16 or older to buy, and United States export law puts some places off limits.
Who we are, and who you buy from
NekoCAD LLC makes and sells NekoCAD. It is a limited liability company of the United States, and its postal address and its support address are on the Contact page. These terms cover nekocad.com, your account, and every purchase that you make here. Your use of the software itself is covered by the end user license agreement, and your data is covered by the privacy policy.
Stripe processes the payment and is the merchant of record for the sale. That means Stripe is the legal seller at the checkout: Stripe calculates and remits the sales tax, the VAT, or the GST, issues the receipt, and handles the card dispute. A card charge shows as LINK.COM* on your statement, and not as NekoCAD. That is normal, and the receipt email names NekoCAD.
Who may use NekoCAD, and your account
You must be 16 years of age or older to buy a license or to make an account. If you are under 18, ask a parent or a guardian before you pay. A purchase for a company must be made by a person with the authority to bind that company.
Your account is yours to look after. Keep the password to yourself, turn on a second factor or a passkey if you can, and tell us at once if somebody else gets in. You are answerable for what happens under your account until you tell us. We can suspend an account that is used for fraud, for abuse of another person, or to break these terms, and we will tell you why.
One license is for one person. You may install the software on as many computers as you own or control, and you may not share, rent, resell, or publish the license itself.
What you buy, and how it reaches you
Every product on nekocad.com is software that you download, or a service that you reach over the internet. There is no physical product. Nothing is shipped, there is no shipping charge, and there is nothing to send back. A return policy for goods does not apply here, and the refund policy takes its place.
A license is delivered as soon as the payment clears: the account page shows it, and an email carries the receipt and the download link. When the software is not released yet, the license waits on your account and the first build reaches you on the day that it ships.
NekoCAD is in early access. It works, and it changes quickly. Features move and some have errors. A file from an early build always opens in a later version.
Price, tax, and currency
Every price on the site is in US dollars, and the price on the page at the moment that you buy is the price that you pay. Stripe shows you your own currency at the checkout, and it settles the sale in US dollars. Your bank can add its own conversion charge, which NekoCAD does not receive and does not control.
Sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated at the checkout where the law of your country or your state asks for it. The checkout shows the amount before you pay, and the receipt lists it.
Updates, renewals, and what does not renew
A paid license is one payment, and it includes updates for its update period. When that period ends, every version released during it keeps working, offline, with no account, for as long as you like. You do not need a renewal to keep using the software or to open your files.
A renewal is a choice, and it extends the update period. You can buy a renewal one time, or pick the auto-renew price, which charges once a year until you cancel. Nothing charges you a second time unless you pick that price. Cancel an auto-renew from your account page, at any time, with one button.
If NekoCAD ever stops, your license does not. Clause 3 of the end user license agreement says what happens: every perpetual license holder gets a final version with the license check removed, published where it does not need NekoCAD to stay alive.
Changing your mind
Every license carries a full refund for 30 days, with no questions and no reason given. The refund, cancellation, and dispute policy gives the process, and it is part of these terms.
If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another place with a legal right of withdrawal, you also hold that right, and these terms do not take it away. The legal period is normally 14 days. Our 30 days are longer, so in practice the refund policy is the better of the two, and you may use whichever you prefer.
Digital content is an exception in that law: the right of withdrawal ends once delivery begins, if you asked for delivery to begin and you were told that the right would end. The checkout asks you for exactly that, because a license is delivered at once. Our own 30 days are not affected by it, and they stay open.
The account page carries a button to cancel an auto-renew and a button to ask for a refund, so that ending an agreement is as easy as starting one. Neither needs a message to us, and each sends a confirmation email with the date and the time.
The Founders License: the terms of the offer
The Founders License is a limited offer, and these are its terms. The run is 1,000 numbered licenses at $49, one payment, with no subscription. Up to 50 of the 1,000 numbers are held back for beta testers and for creators, and a sale takes the numbers after those. The offer has no deadline and no countdown: it ends when the run is sold, or when NekoCAD closes it, whichever comes first.
A Founders License carries commercial use and every tool of the paid line. Its update period runs through early access and for twelve months after version 1.0 ships. It carries a renewal price that is locked: the renewal price named at the time of your purchase stays yours for as long as you renew without a break. A break in renewals ends the locked price, and the price of the day applies.
One license is for one person, and a Founder number belongs to the license and not to the account. A refund revokes the license, and the number is not issued again. NekoCAD may correct an error in a price or in the count of the run, and a purchase made at a wrong price is refunded in full and not charged the difference.
NekoCAD Free stays free. It allows commercial work up to $1,000 of revenue a year, it is not part of this offer, and it needs no payment and no account.
Discounts and other promotions
A discount code, a bundle, or another offer runs under the terms published with it, and those terms name the dates, the price, and the limits. Unless an offer says otherwise: one code per order, a code does not combine with another code, a code has no cash value, and a code does not apply to a purchase that was already made. NekoCAD may end an offer at any time, and an order placed before it ends still gets its price.
An offer that is won, given, or granted at no cost carries the same license and the same refund rights, except that a refund returns no money where no money was paid.
Legal and export restrictions
NekoCAD is a United States company, and United States export law applies to its software. You may not buy, download, use, or pass on NekoCAD where that law forbids it. That includes a country or a region under a United States embargo or comprehensive sanction, and a person or a company on a United States restricted party list, for example the Specially Designated Nationals list of OFAC.
By buying a license you state that you are not in such a country and that you are not such a person, and that you will not use NekoCAD for a purpose that United States export law forbids, which includes the design of a weapon of mass destruction. NekoCAD refuses or cancels an order that breaks these rules, and it refunds the payment in full.
Your own local law can add rules for the use of design software, and it is yours to obey.
Using the site fairly, and who owns what
Use nekocad.com as it is meant to be used. Do not try to break it, to read data that is not yours, to take it apart to find a way in, to send automated traffic that hurts it, or to use it to hurt somebody else. Reporting a weakness is welcome, and the address for that is in the security.txt file of the site.
NekoCAD LLC owns the site, the software, the name, and the marks. These terms give you a license to use the software, and they give you no right in the marks. You keep every right in the designs, the models, and the files that you make with NekoCAD, and we claim nothing in them.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise to be straight with you, to answer your messages, and to give back your money inside the refund window. We do not promise that the site is always up, that the software is free of errors, or that a model, a measurement, or an exported file is fit for a particular purpose. Check your own work before you cut, print, mill, or build from it.
To the extent that the law allows, the liability of NekoCAD LLC for any claim connected to the site or the software is limited to the amount that you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing here removes a right that consumer law gives you where you live.
Changes, law, disputes, and how to reach us
NekoCAD may change these terms. The version on the site at the moment of your purchase governs that purchase. Each version stays online, and a material change gets an email to license holders 30 days before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its rules on conflict of laws. A claim goes to the state or federal courts of Pinellas County, Florida, and each of us agrees to that. Either of us may still bring a claim in a small claims court. There is no arbitration clause here and no class action waiver: we would rather answer you than silence you.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another place whose law gives you the courts of your own country, that law wins over the paragraph above, and nothing here removes it.
